Cozy stone fireplace with gas insert.
Cottage on 125 feet of lakefront on beautiful Bass Lake, 45 minutes north of Grand Rapids (recently voted Beer City USA for its craft beer breweries) and 15 minutes from Greenville, home of the Danish Festival and the birthplace of Meijer grocery store. 10 miles away from the Fred Meijer Heartland Trail (41 paved miles through bucolic countryside from Greenville to Alma). There are several nearby Amish farms selling some tasty pies! Fresh pop-up produce stands by local farmers. Horseback riding stables 15 minutes up the road. Lakefront restaurant about 5 miles and 2 lakes over, a great ice cream stand just up the country road, pizza for pick up one lake over at Tow's General Store and Gas Station.
Rather stay close to home? The cottage is on an all-sport lake with a public boat launch. Fabulous fishing including bass and bluegill. There is an adorable Gowen General Store right up the road to stock up on worms, giant pickles, tasty cheese and other odds and ends. The Cottage is situated in the middle of a large lot with fire pit, BBQ grill, lawn furniture, picnic table, row boat, one kayak, one stand-up paddleboard/kayak hybrid, a swimming dock, sandy bottom, and old stone stairs from cottage on the hill down to the lake.
There is a little something for everyone on this beautiful lake and cozy cottage. Lazy afternoons with the lake breeze and a good book. Early morning fishing. Kayak at sunset. S'mores under the stars. Quaint surrounding towns and "big city" Grand Rapids to visit and explore. Bike riding on the Meijer Trail. There are even mountain biking trails about 25 minutes up the road.

Sleeping = 3 full size beds, one full size couch fold-out, one twin bed.
Standard rental season is first week of May through mid-October.
Dogs are permitted, however if the dog is allowed on furniture and beds, the guest is required to use special furniture coverings (provided) to protect furniture and bedding from dog hair. All dog waste must be picked up and removed! We are a dog friendly folk - we have dogs - we love dogs - so please be diligent with your dog so we can continue to offer a dog friendly vacation to all of our guests.
