Nancy and Don J.We had a very enjoyable stay here! (9/21/2017) It was definitely spotlessly clean and is more of a cozy home than a cabin. The beds were definitely comfortable. We found our stay peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed visiting the state park, lake Michigan, and of course, Hamlin lake. Evening walks to enjoy the sunset and exploring the beautiful surroundings were also a treat. The owners, Wally and Brenda, were extremely friendly and helpful. They even invited us to attend an arts and craft fair with them and showed us some interesting sights along the way.
Pete, Kathleen and WyattThis is no rustic cabin on the bayou! It is a spotlessly clean and tranquil getaway steps from quiet water, perfect for morning coffee or throwing your fishing line in and literally watching the fish go for the bait (as perfect for my 9 yr. old as it was for me to fish - and I haven't done that for 40 years!). I was so impressed with how well stocked the kitchen was and how comfortable the beds were. I was a little concerned when we arrived that the proximity of the houses might be a little too close but it was never an issue and you were the perfect hosts. The weather was crazy hot but all that did for us was warm up Lake Michigan so we could swim in it! Thank you Walter for the worms and kindness to my son, it was a pleasure to meet both you and Brenda (even your neighbors were so nice to us!) Each of us agreed we were able to relax and had a great vacation - thanks for your hospitality and everything!
The HannasWe just returned from a long weekend (5/27/11) and must send a comment. The place is beautiful, clean, well done and much larger than you would think. The area is quiet and the fishing is good even off the dock. The owners are very accommodating and have their renters comfort in mind. We hope to return again this year. Thanks Wally and Brenda for providing such a great rental.
Michelle, Roger, Robert And ErinThe cabin was very clean and comfortable. The owers are right next door and are super helpful. We had a great time fishing right off the dock and by boat in the lake. In the morning we could watch the swans and ducks eat and play in the lake while drinking our morning coffee. Our trip was in September and we were able to drive down to Muskegon for the Irish Festival there. It was nice to be able to have someplace close where we had our own food and creature comforts rather than staying in a hotel. We will surely be looking here first for future summer vacations!
Tony And LisaOur second time staying at this lovely cottage and we were just as pleased as the first. Owners are friendly, accomodating and helpful without being intrusive. Cottage is CLEAN, and very comfortable.
AnonymousA wonderful and tranquil place to stay. The cottage is very clean and contains all of the ammenities of home. Close to the main part of town, and owners are extremely nice. Would recommend staying here to everyone!
Robert &teresa GobleThis is an awesome immaculate cottage! We stayed over Labor day weekend "2007". Very quite, relaxing on the Bayou. Close to town and the Ludington State park. Owners Walter and Brenda live next door, very friendly and respect privacy of renters. We will return and recommend to friends.
Roberta BatesThe pictures are lovely and very inviting.
