The Hamlin Bay View Cottage is located on the Middle Bayou of Hamlin Lake - a scenic no-wake area, perfect for relaxing, fishing, canoeing, etc. Boat access from the bayou to all sports Hamlin Lake. The west end of Hamlin Lake is in Ludington State Park - Michigan's most popular state park - situated between Lake Michigan and Hamlin Lake. Views from the living room, deck and sitting porch are beautiful. A dock the width of the property allows for water's edge sitting, sunning, fishing, swimming,etc. The cottage is a 5 bedroom, 2 bath home. The upper level has an open floor plan living room and full kitchen, 2 baths and 2 bedrooms - "The Rose Room" with a Queen size bed and "The Lavender Room" with a full size bed. The lower level walkout has a family room, large "Garden Room" (Queen bedroom) with attached "Lighthouse Room" (sitting room/bedroom - daybed can be used for additional sleeping space), "Ship's Cabin" room with bunk beds, enclosed "Wicker Room" sitting porch ( can also be used for aditional sleeping space), and opens to a deck with gas grill and firepit. Sleeps 12+ utilizing sleeper sofas in family and living rooms. Recently painted with new carpeting throughout. Most furniture is less than 4 years old - all is in excellent condition. We had a wonderful time at Hamlin Bay Cottage. Everything was just as I expected and more! Our week went much too quickly. You have a great spot! It was hard to come back to reality for all of us.

We really enjoyed the stay. The bayou was quiet & peaceful...until my boys arrived! The fishing was slow, but we'd heard it would be. I did catch a nice bass near that stump a couple of houses to your right. Everyone enjoyed it when a family of swans would come to the dock and we'd feed them some bread. The cottage was very nice with tons of sleeping choices for everyone. It's nicely decorated, comfortable and large enough so that everyone could spread out. I'm glad I found your web posting so we could rent your place. It was one of the few with enough bedrooms and was more than we expected!

We were very pleasantly surprised by the beauty of the cottage and area. The cottage is very tastefully decorated, one of the best we have stayed in. It is a great fishing spot, many many fish were caught. We had a fairly large group with a mix of adults and children. There was something for everyone. Beautiful Lake Michigan beaches a short drive. Lot's for the teenagers to do in Ludington. Many good restaurants and nightlife. The week we were there is was very peaceful and quiet at the cottage. We will be returning next year for sure. Highly recommended.
