MICHIGAN VACATION PROPERTY DESCRIPTION

 NORTHERN MICHIGAN LOG CABIN

Located off Rush Lake, north of Atlanta, Michigan, is our 2700 square foot Northern Michigan Log Cabin. Quality built in 1997, with a large kitchen, two bathrooms, three bedrooms, a spacious loft, living room, dining room, and a finished walkout, our cabin provides plenty of space to enjoy the northern experience. Nestled in a serene setting of mature Jack Pines, White Oaks and other assorted trees, one can enjoy a beautiful view of the Lake, from the large deck outside the main level, a covered porch outside the walkout, a custom built fire pit area, a small deck lakeside, or an eight by eight foot area at the end of the dock. All the comforts of home are included and are listed below. Lots of parking space is provided on our one and a half acre lot. Also included are our 13-foot aluminum boat (9.9 HP outboard optional), outdoor furniture and a Weber Charcoal Grill.

Rush Lake is a beautiful 220-acre all sports lake, offering excellent fishing, jet skiing, boating, and swimming, and located within a miles distance is the public boat ramp. The lake for the most part is non-congested, peaceful and serene. Visitors include bald eagles, loons, ducks, geese, chickadees, hummingbirds and others, which will definitely highlight that northern experience.

Our cabin is located, approximately 4 ½ hours north of the Detroit area, within 15 minutes of Atlanta and Hillman, halfway between Alpena and Gaylord (one hours distance), and approximately one and a half hours drive from Petoskey and the Mackinaw Bridge.  Two of northern Michigan’s finest golf courses (Thunder Bay and Elk Ridge) are within a 15-minute drive. With the area being home to Michigan’s Elk herd, opportunities to view these creatures as well as the northern whitetail deer are abundant.  Surrounded by the Mackinaw State Forest this area provides a multitude of activities, including trails for hiking, cross-country skiing, motocross. four wheeling,snowmobiling or just plain sight seeing.

We do have rules that we expect our visitors to follow, as we follow them as well, nothing extravagant.  We have definitely been blessed, and have made the decision to share this blessing. So, if you are looking for that special place that will provide you with peace, tranquility, relaxation and wonderful memories to create your own true northern experience, we know you will find it here.  We want to provide you with an honest service and an experience you will never forget.   On the main floor the master bedroom has a king bed, the second bedroom has a queen bed, on the walkout level the third bedrrom has a single bed and a sleeper sofa, and the loft area has a full bed and a queen air matress available, as well as more room for additional air matresses. The main floor has a full bathroom with a washer and dryer. The bathroom in walkout area is a full with a shower.

                                                                                                                                             We do require a signed rental agreement upon reservation. We do have a general set of rules that we expect to be followed. Copies of each are available upon request. We supply certain items for your convience, and a list is also available upon request. Extras, including life jackets, boat cushions, oars, and other water related items will be included. No access or use of pole barn. Visitors will provide own firewood and charcoal. Phone service, unlimited local and long distance. Direct TV provided, any pay per view movies can be purchased. No smoking inside cabin, butt buckets outside are provided. Handicap access to main floor of cabin and deck. Availability of rental dates are available upon request. Email or call for any questions or inquiries.

Additional:

Security deposit ($300.00) due for reservation. Full rental payment due 14 days prior to rental. Weekend (less than 4 days) rentals (Summer Season) are available 30 days prior to rental date, although will put on list, please contact for more information.

Fall Season Basic Rates

September 13, 2010 - November 7, 2010

Incredible place!! I have stayed there and am going back in August. This cabin is so peaceful, private, and perfect. And it's equipped so well that you can host several people and have a great time too. The lower level walk-out is my favorite part...a wonderful place to sit and watch the sun rise on the lake with coffee and a good book. And you are guaranteed to create LIFELONG memories around the fire pit as you share evenings just enjoying each other. Highly Recommended
