Windjammer Resort cottage rentals are located ten minutes southeast of Traverse City on Spider Lake in beautiful Forest Lake Area of Grand Traverse County in Northern Michigan. Prime acreage and accomodations offers a relaxing and scenic atmosphere for family reunions, families, couples, or just friends. Boaters welcome. Lodging for all seasons.

The 2.6 acre property has a newly built LOG HOME that overlooks the resort, 3 log cabins built 2001 (#6,#7,#8 waterfront), 4 original cabins (#1,#2,#3,#4 waterfront). and a 2 story cottage (#5). Our rustic cabins are clean, comfortable, and furnished. Each cabin has 1, 2, or 3 bedrooms, bathroom with a hot shower, kitchen with dining, living room and outside deck with table/chairs or picnic table, weber grill. Newer cabins have ceiling fans in master bedroom and/or living room and shower with bath tub. Cabins are equipped with refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, dishes, cups, silverware, pots and pans, TV with cable, pillows and bedspreads are provided. You must provide your bedding, towels, paper/plastic products and soaps. Bring your favorite electric fry pan, griddle, grill or serving dishes. Pets only on approval with a fee.

The Log Home has 2 bedrooms, each with 1 queen and 1 double bed, 1 double blow up bed, hot tub, ceiling fans, great room with kitchen, t.v. with cable, weber grill, gas grill, and beautiful view overlooking resort.

Spider Lake is a 450 acre spring fed "All Sports Lake" with a 40 ' depth known for its warm water, sand bottom, coves and islands to explore. The lake has fishing for bass, bluegill, perch, pike, and crappie. Motor boats are allowed with enforced speed limit between 7:30 p.m and 11:00 a.m.

Activities are limited only by the season and your imagination. The summer season provides vacationers with a variety of activities highlighted by the National Cherry Festival in mid-July, Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes, North and South Manitou Islands a popular backpacking spot accessible by ferry from the city of Leland, Old Mission Peninsula internationally known wine-growing region, Village of Interlochen home to the famous Interlochen Center for the Arts, Spirit of the Woods Museum, Alden Mill House a family owned store (spices and such) built as a farm house in 1876, and many other quaint towns such as Alden near Torch Lake as well as Makinac Island approx. 2 hours (perfect overnight trip) are only a sample of diversions offered to the visitor in the Grand Traverse area.
