MICHIGAN VACATION PROPERTY DESCRIPTION

This absolutely beautiful log cabin is located on Lake Huron, in the Straits of Mackinaw, just ten miles south of Mackinaw City and the Bridge. It includes hand crafted log beds, hardwood floors with a stone fireplace, cathedral ceilings with fan and "up north" decor. The deck has a gas grill and wraps around the front and sides of the cabin offering a breathtaking view of Lake Huron as the freighters pass by. On a clear day, Mackinaw Island and the Grand Hotel can be seen. The fire pit near the water is a great place for nightly camp fires. Three bedrooms include two queen beds and two sets of bunk beds, comfortably accomodating eight. Bathroom includes ceramic tile with a Jacuzzi whirlpool tub. Well equipped kitchen with ceramic tile with dishwasher and includes delicious water from an artesian well. Other amenities include laundry room with washer and dryer, TV with VCR and DVD, and two car garage.

The log cabin is located just ten miles from Mackinaw City with great shopping and restaurants and just a ferry-ride away from the beautiful Mackinaw Island where the movie Somewhere in Time was filmed. An historic fort is located in the City as well as on the Island. An old saw mill state park is just a few minutes away. The upper peninsula with all it's wonders is just across the bridge with casinos, beautiful Taquamanon Falls, Whitefish Pointe with the fascinating Shipwreck Museum, a cranberry bogg and an exciting bear ranch nearbye are just a few of the great sites of Upper Michigan. And don't forget the delicious fudge and tasty pasties.
