MICHIGAN VACATION PROPERTY DESCRIPTION
Situated on a main street one block from Betsie Bay Harbor, guests will enjoy a short stroll to the gorgeous coastline and dunes of Lake Michigan and downtown historic Frankfort. Once you park your car, you will not need to get in it again unless you want to travel to nearby Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, Traverse City, Pte. Betsie Lighthouse, Glen Arbor or the Leelanau wine country. This 2 unit duplex has been completely renovated and re-furnished. We have preserved the tradition of a Northern Michigan cottage, but have incorporated all of the modern conveniences of a completely new kitchen, including new appliances (fridge w/ice maker, microwave, dishwasher, stove), new cabinets and newly remodeled bathroom.
Both units sleep 6: one bedroom with queen bed and one bedroom with two twins bunk beds plus a sleeper sofa available.
A short walk to Lake Michigan with its white sandy beaches and incredible sunsets. Walk out on Frankfort's pier to the lighthouse and watch the fishing boats return. The town offers marinas, great restaurants, bars, unique shops and art galleries.
The upper unit has a back deck with views of betsie bay and a small table and chairs for relaxing. The lower unit has a front porch and a small back porch with adirondack chairs for relaxing.
There is a patio available to both units with a picnic table and grill for dining outside.

Fishing is available all year long for a wide variety of fish species, including Lake Trout, Browns, Steelhead, Coho salmon, and Chinook (King) salmon. Our property is located one block from the public boat launch and city marina. We have parking available for both boat and auto.

The upper apt. was very nice, modern and spacious. The 19 steps up became easier with all the walking to the beach, sand walking and biking. An ideal location across from a park on Lake Betsie.
Would definitely recommend apt to friends and stay there again myself.
Having a restaurant and library nearby were a plus.

Spent 7 days in July in Frankfort at this duplex. Found it to be most comfortable. We had brought alot of things with us only to find out that the place was completely stocked and had everything we needed and then some.
The location was ideal as we could walk to the grocery store, laundromat, post office, downtown and the beach. All just a few minutes away.
We enjoyed having our morning coffee on the deck and grilling out & enjoy our cocktails in the evening.
It was a most enjoyable stay and we hope we can come back next summer.

We rented this house last summer and enjoyed our stay very much. Nancy had everything we needed for the week including new outdoor grill for nights we wanted to eat in. Short walk to downtown for ice cream! Betsie bay trail near by was excellent for bike rides. Looking forward to coming back. Tom,Julie Hunter
