MICHIGAN VACATION PROPERTY DESCRIPTION

These secluded and cozy cottages have a screened-in porch overlooking beautiful Intermediate Lake and are perfect for a summer getaway. The knotty pine interior sets a warm and peaceful mood. The cottage is complete with a kitchen (utensils, microwave and coffee maker), two bedrooms with double beds, and bathroom with shower. The living/dining/kitchen area has a fold out couch and dining table. Blankets and pillows, crib, and highchairs are provided (sheets and towels not included). All pets are welcome and we have plenty of room for them to run and roam. Each cottage comes with a picnic table and grill. There is no phone, television, cable or satellite to distract you from the genuine splendor of nature.

There is 150 feet of sandy beach and a sandy-bottomed lake with a gradual drop-off directly in front of our cottages. The hundred foot dock, giant slide in the water, and buoyed rope at a depth of 40 inches provide ample swimming room for adults and children. Boat tethering away from the swimming area is available as well as a 12-foot aluminum row boat. The beachfront bonfire pit (wood provided), horseshoe pit, three swing sets, and beach furniture provide relaxing entertainment for everyone. Intermediate Lake is 6 miles long with a maximum depth of 70 ft and is part of the Chain O’ Lakes. It is great for walleye, pike, perch, brown trout, crappie, smallmouth bass, rock bass, and more.

Many fine restaurants, unique shopping, museums, art galleries, theaters, art centers and casinos are nearby. Hiking, canoeing and kayaking, nature trails, mushrooming, fishing and hunting, bowling, indoor and outdoor golfing and horseback riding are all available. The athletic complex with tennis courts, track and baseball field are within walking distance (1/2 mile). Basketball courts, a softball field and plenty of playground equipment are located in Central Lake and Bellaire.

The beautiful Lake Michigan and Torch Lake are only 6 miles away. We are located 40 miles from of Traverse City and Petoskey, 20 miles from Charlevoix, and Mackinaw City is 75 miles away. Barnes Park on Lake Michigan and Morhmann Park, which has nice walking trails, are fun places to visit. Antrim Creek Natural Area and Fisherman’s Island State Park are also nearby. There are 11 (ELEVEN!) golf courses in the area as well.
