Directions: Any means to get to Grayling (I-75 North or South if starting in Michigan), or continue up I 75 to Exit 270 (Waters exit). If traveling from Illinois, travel up the Western Coast of Michigan heading toward Traverse City. Central Lake is North of Bellaire and just East of Torch Lake about 1 hour West and a bit North of Grayling. Grayling to Mancelona to Bellaire to Central Lake. From the West side of the state - make it to Ludington up to Kalkaska to Mancelona to Bellaire to Central Lake. (Specifics provided with each rental reservation as Mapquest does not always give the most expeditious route and some GPSs do not lock in our exact address).

MICHIGAN VACATION PROPERTY DESCRIPTION

WE GUARANTEE OUR GUESTS WILL  ENJOY A WONDERFUL all seasons get-away in Central Lake, MI at beautiful Hanley Lake Cove!  Our 3 level 2400+ sq.ft. condo has a lake view from deck or patio you will not soon forget. We have arrangements to sleep a group of 6 (first and second levels) or can accommodate up to 12 (utilizing 3rd level loft and owner's master bedroom suite). Guest second level suite has king size bed, full bath, flat screen TV with cable/DVD/VCR. Young adults' bedroom on first level has two twins and full size sofa bed, TV with DVD and games system. Full bath just steps away. First level wet bar and plenty of windows for lots of sunshine. Recently installed cable modem and wireless internet access, so bring your laptop to work or shop on ebay.  Fall colors were spectacular but winter white has already been spotted.

    Right on Hanley Lake (connects to the upper 6 chain-o-lakes. www.fishweb.com/maps/antrim/chain-o-lakes/index.html). To the South all-sports Intermediate Lake is 6 miles long and great for skiing, tubing or fishing, while to the North the upper chain of Benway, Wilson, Ellsworth, St. Claire and Six Mile Lakes are all accessible. Tons of activities and places to go for summer enjoyment (including a regulation swimming pool on site) but don't miss the Petosky Stone Festival and Central Lake's Classic Car Show in June. Newly renovated Blue Pelican Restaurant (www.thebluepelican.com) just a walk across the street. Close enough to the ski resorts (Shanty Creek and Schuss Mountain) come winter. Marvel at "fall colors" northern Michigan style or simply curl up next to one of the two gas fireplaces and enjoy the R & R. Within walking distance of Central Lake Village with all of the small city charm most people look for when traveling "up North." You will not find a more pleasant little town with so much to offer in and around the area.(www.central-lake.com)

   Short driving distance to Traverse City, Charlevoix, Petosky, and beautiful Torch Lake (everyone in Michigan knows how stunning being on Torch Lake is!) plus Shanty Creek resorts in nearby Bellaire for winter ski or summer golf (too many big name courses to list here) or stay at "home" and use the onsite pool for soaking up the sun in summer or ice skate on Hanley Lake (if frozen enough), cross country ski or even snowshoe in the colder months.

Our condo has a deeded boat slip which we can make available for your own boat use during your stay (1 watercraft only). Nearby Thurston Park  has a public boat launch and public swimming beach on Intermediate Lake. Additionally we have a 14 foot two person kayak with paddles and PFDs to allow guests short or longer tours on any of the 6 connecting lakes. (Guests must comply with all safe boating practices). We must insist, however, that none of our boating property be removed from the premises, due to insurance considerations. We also can help guests arrange for a pontoon boat rental through local marina facilities. All connecting lakes (Intermediate, Hanley, Benway, Wilson, Ellsworth, St. Clare and Six Mile)  are "all sports." Great fishing for walleye, pike, perch and many varieties of bass.

The onsite condominium pool (directly across from our unit) is great for kids but they must be supervised as there is no dedicated lifeguard on duty.

We provide all bed linens, sheets, and towels (washer and dryer available). Bring your own beach towels and food and drink for your stay. We do ask that you remove whatever you bring in to mimimize our turn over cleaning. We promise you a stay in a spotless, comfortable home.

To make a reservation we require a $300.00 deposit 6 weeks prior to the week of rental (refundable if circumstances dictate - we are honest and understanding folks). Some summer rental periods may require a deposit placed much earlier in the season to reserve peak summer times. We ask for full payment for the balance in our hands 3 weeks before the rental week begins to lock in any reservation. TO SAVE YOU MONEY, WE DO NOT REQUIRE THAT OUR GUESTS PAY A CLEANING FEE (yet we reserve the right to assess one if our trust is taken advantage of). All funds paid in U.S. dollars, please. Credit cards can be accepted via phone authorization between owner and prospective renters (may require a 2 day processing). Lock box codes for access provided upon satisfactory funds clearing bank processing. No exceptions. Thank you.

RATES/PAYMENT INFORMATION

01/04/2010 to 04/30/2010 --$900 per week (NO SECURITY DEPOSIT required and NO ADDED CLEANING FEES for any rental - SAVING OUR GUESTS MONEY!!)

05/01/2010 to 08/28/2010 --$1000 per week. Kindly inquire about shorter stay interval rates. ( A Summer vacation stay couldn't be more economical!!)

09/07/2010 to 10/29/2010 --$850 per week. Weekend rentals: $250 per weekend. (Great opportunity to enjoy a "fall colors" get-away! Kayaking the upper lakes gives a breathtaking view and don't forget your camera).

10/31/2009 to 12/18/2009 --$900 per week. (Winter is WAY DIFFERENT "up North").

(All weeks begin on Saturday with check-in (10:00 A.M) and end Friday with check-out
(4:00 P.M.) to allow for follow up cleaning. We can often be flexible where possible on days. Weekends-start Friday 12:00 P.M. and end Sunday 4:00 P.M.

We have visited the condo for the past two years and have been more than satisfied with everything! Needless to say, the condo itself is beautiful and has any appliance you could want or need. The location is great and the views even better! Gary goes out of his way to make you feel at home and is just a phone call away in case of a problem!(We locked the keys in the condo this year and he was ever so gracious when we gave him the news. He assured us we weren't the first and he quickly had us back inside. We plan to stay here anytime we're in the area. It's GREAT!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hanley Lake Cove condos. It was a beautiful place, kept immaculately clean. The girls loved having the downstairs to themselves. We all enjoyed kayaking and walking to town to visit the shops. The condo had everything we could have possibly needed for our stay. The pool was an added plus! The view from the balcony was just spectacular, especially the full moon on the water in the evenings. We made several day trips to other cities, which were within an easy 1/2 hour drive. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay "up north".

My family had a great stay at the Hanley Lake Condo. The condo is immaculate and has every amentiy you could want. My boys enjoyed exploring Hanley Lake and Intermediate Lake on the kayak. I enjoyed the beautiful morning views from the deck. My husband enjoyed keeping in touch with work via the free wireless cable. We all enjoyed being able to walk to great restaurants in downtown Central Lake.

We stayed at Hanley Lake Cove in August 2008 but found our comments did not get posted as we left them right after we were there for a week. What a beautiful stay for the summer! The view across Hanley Lake is magnificent in the early morning. Our kids loved feeding the swans right off the dock and we all relaxed at the pool. Gary was great in helping us arrange a pontoon for rent for the week. Everything was there for us as promised. We WILL return. Thanks.
