Charming LAKE FRONT cottage built in 1918.    Featuring 2 bedrooms - Large, Open Living Room (Fireplace & Cathedral ceiling), Dining & Kitchen. One Hundred Feet of Sandy beach - rare double lake front lot equals more privacy.  Tiered deck, secluded beachfront firepit, gorgeous cottage gardens. Call or e-mail for more info. Only 2.25 hours from Royal Oak.

Lots to do! Swim, build sand castles, eat smores around the firepit. Sit on the deck and see the sun rise or set - absolutely the best sun sets!  Watch hummingbirds flit around the perennial gardens. In town. Port Austin. Restaurants, antiques, small shops, Saturday morning market day (Midwest Living's 2009 top 10 market). Pier for walking or fishing. Caseville much of the same + movie theater.  Bad Axe. McDonald's Grocery Store, K-Mart, Walmart, small independent shops. Fab 1940's movie theater with first run films. Inexpensive with hash marks used as tickets. Complete with wood floors & heavy drapes.

I can only describe your cottage as enchanting. Even though the weather didn't cooperate till the last two days, I had a restful and peaceful time. The cottage reminds me of the pictures of English cottages that I have seen. The flowers are the right touch and the inside of the cottage is the right touch to make one feel at home. 4/16/2010 Thanks so much for sharing your cottage with us. It was a great weekend get-away, especially relaxing and laid back. The weather was beautiful on Friday but cold and damp Saturday and Sunday. In spite of weather we had a great time, enjoying playing dice and games with our family from Grand Rapids. We had one of our most memorable vacations in our 7 plus years of marriage. Though our stay was only for a weekend we enjoyed this private oasis more than words can explain. From the Farmers Market to the tremendous view of the water right out the door. This place was magnificent. We definitely wish we stayed longer! We created many memories.
