This Ski-in / ski-out slopeside luxury Log home "Schoonhoven" is located directly on Schuss Mountain within minutes of Shanty Creek’s world class Legend golf course and the Cedar River Tom Weiskopf designed course. Sleeps 16 in 4 bedrooms plus a large loft. 3.5 baths with heated floors!  Also near Boyne, The Bear and more. Enjoy the vista views from the two large cedar decks.  This custom Log Chalet is a luxurious yet rustic Centennial Log Home located directly on Schuss Mountain’s Chicken’s Choice ski run - lit for night skiing.

The upper level sleeps two in the spacious mastersuite’s custom cedar-twig log-bed. The master bath has a two-person jetted tub, two sinks, and a custom slate shower built for two in a luxurious room with heated floors. Just outside the master suite is a large loft with two very comfortable futon sleepers to accommodate four more guests.

The main level has two additional bedrooms, a full bath with very large slate tile shower, and a ½ bath complete with full-size washer and dryer. Both bathrooms have heated floors. The second bedroom sleeps two in a custom log queen bed, and the third bedroom will accommodate four more in two sets of log bunk beds. There is a full gourmet kitchen with an island.  The vaulted dining area has seating for eight, and a breathtaking vaulted living area with a wood-burning fireplace overlooks the Schuss ski hill.

The walkout level sleeps up to four in one large bedroom with a queen bed and an exceptionally comfortable futon in the living area. There is also a small full-kitchen and a natural stone bathroom with a jetted tub. All of the floors in the walkout level are heated! You haven’t lived until you have walked on heated floors barefoot! This is not your average “lower level” - there are thirty feet of windows looking out on the ski hill and all of lower Michigan! You can easly walk slightly over Schuss Mountain to the new Tom Weiskopf designed Cedar River Golf Course.

This luxury home sleeps up to sixteen in ten individual beds:
3 queens, 4 twins, 3 futon sleeper sofas.

Enjoy all that Northern Michigan has to offer - alpine skiing on Schuss Mountain, cross country skiing on over 20km or groomed trails, golf at the Legend, the Bear, the Cedar River course, or your favorite Northern Michigan golf resort. Swim indoors or outdoors in Schuss Mountain's pool. Soak in the 6-person hot tub after a tough day on the links or the snow. Ride snowmobiles all the way to the UP. Or just curl up with a good book in front of the fire.

4WD or AWD is highly recommended during the ski season (or anytime from mid September to late April when snow is a possibility).
