MICHIGAN VACATION RESORT NAME/LOCATION
Lakeland Cottage
Grand Junction, Michigan 49056, Van Buren County
From the Chicago area: take Route 294 or 94 to 80-94 into Indiana and follow 94 North to Michigan. When you get to Benton Harbor watch for the sign that says Grand Rapids - Holland (196) Exit 34. Take 196 North to Exit 20, South Haven (Phoenix Road, aka CR388). Turn Right onto Phoenix Road. (You will see Wal-Mart behind the Big Boy Restaurant on the left. This is a good place to get groceries, etc.) Follow Phoenix Road east to and through the town of Grand Junction. About 1 mile past town you will see 51-1/2 Street, turn left. Follow 51-1/2 Street to the STOP sign at Baseline Road, turn right onto the gravel road. Follow Baseline Road about 1/2 mile to 51st Street and turn Left. Follow 51st Street to 177 E. 51st Street. It's on the right, a gray house with turquoise shutters on the lakefront. You can drive down the hill to the house and park behind it. We live across the street at 178, the white house, on the top of the hill. You can drive up Phyllis Lane, if you wish. If you need directions from another area, we will be happy to assist you.

We just returned from a week at Lakeland Cottage and absolutely loved it! As the ad says, if you want relaxation and tranquility – along with the generous hospitality of hosts Wayne and Phyllis – then this cottage is perfect.
My three-year-old loved playing in the wading area between the piers and enjoyed seeing all the wildlife that lives in, on and near the lake – fish, ducks, swans, turtles and frogs. We had everything we needed in the cottage. We just brought our own food and clothes and soaked in a relaxing week of hanging out at the lake. I would strongly recommend this cottage to anyone who wants to get away from it all! Thanks Wayne & Phyllis!
