Travel 5 miles west on W 76th Sreet when coming off of M-37. Turn right (North) onto S. Evergreen Rd., and continue for 1 mile. S. Evergreen merges with 68th Street, which you continue on for another 1/4 mile. Take a left (South) onto Mack Road (gravel road) for another 3/4 mile. Turn right onto S. Lake Cecelia Drive. The cottages are 100' from the corner, on the left (South) side of the road. PLEASE DO NOT USE GPS! It shows a different route but one of the roads is impassible. MICHIGAN VACATION PROPERTY DESCRIPTION

This is the place to kick back and relax! Quiet! Great swimming! Outdoor bonfires! Your best vacation ever! Our two cottages are next door to each other, but not so close so two different families have plenty of room. Cottage #1 sleeps 8, cottage #2 sleeps 6. Relax in our semi-rustic cottages. Semi-rustic because we don't have hot water/showers (yet)but don't let that deter you from all the fun you will have. What we do have is comfortable, relaxing surroundings, comfortable beds, full kitchens, fireplace in the larger cottage, old push-open shutters that open to a view of the lake. Private steps down to the beach, a fire pit great for hot dogs and marshmallows! Picnic tables, charcoal grills, chairs, row boats, a carpeted raft in the deeper water, jigsaw puzzles for a rainy day, tv transfer to digital is in progress, cleaning supplies, vacuum and more. A golf course is only a ten minute drive away. The beautiful Pere Marquette River is also very close and offers canoing and rafting. The cottages are clean and comfortable but not fancy, so you don't have to worry about the inevitable sand tracking in. You supply your linens, which includes towels, sheets & blankets, your food, fishing poles, life jackets, yard & water toys or whatever else you might want to bring along. This is the place to get away from it all by "indoor camping"!  Cold running water only but indoor plumbing,  This is definitely a must see and experience vacation home. Our two cottages face a small, but beautiful and clean lake. One fire pit to share, and a picnic table for each. One cottage has a fireplace in the living room, an L shaped screened porch with a large dining table, a small dinette cove attached to the kitchen, and a half-bath.  A crib is available upon request. A row boat is available per cottage, and there are concrete steps leading down to the beach. Great swimming with a raft in the deeper water. People that have stayed here say they never wanted to leave. Some of our renters have been bringing their families for 30+ years. It's a great place to build memories.

Cottages are located on the north end of Cecelia Lake, on South Lake Cecelia Drive. Property is about 10 minutes from Baldwin, Michigan.

Enjoy canoeing down the Pere Marquette River. Antique shops are everywhere and Marquette Trails Golf Course is only ten minutes away. Oh, and best of all, the famous Jones' Ice Cream in downtown Baldwin. Bring some back to the cottage or enjoy it at any of the town's outdoor concerts behind the ice cream shop, and you'll have it all!  Cottages are about 10 minutes from Baldwin, Michigan where you can enjoy 'The blessing of the bikes' ceremony or the 'Fish-a-rama'.
Cottages are approximately 30 minutes from beautiful Ludington where you can enjoy shopping or the beaches of Lake Michigan, or a short trip to Irons, MI for the famous Flea Roast and Ox Market festivities in June.

RATES/PAYMENT INFORMATION

Special rates for May & June! Special Spring 2010 discounts!! From May 15 through the month of June we are renting our cottage #1 for $450/wk! Our cottage #2 will rent for $350/wk! Rent BOTH for the same week for $600.

July 3rd-Mid Sept. Rates are: Cottage 1: Two bedrooms, a pull-out sofa bed in LR, and another bed on an L-shaped porch, (Sleeps 8) for $550/wk. Cottage 2: Two bedrooms, pull-out sofa bed in LR, (Sleeps 6)for $500/wk. Both cottages, same week $1,000.

50% non-refundable deposit is due at time of reservation. Remaining monies due upon arrival. Cash, check or money order accepted. Because we do not accept charge or debit, we will hold your reservation for 7 days to receive your deposit via "snail mail".

Return check fee: $25.00 and loss of reservation.

My kids and I visited cohrs cottage this summer and had a wonderful time. The kids loved being rght on the lake. The cottage was cute and cozy. Anyone who goes should definitely try Jones homemade icecream (Yummmy). We are definitely going to come back next summer.

We had such a wonderful time!! We only booked the weekend because we were concerned about the hot water, etc, but wished we could have stayed longer. The lake is perfect for swimming and fishing!! And the cottage was so roomy and comfortable. We'll be back next year!!!!

These places are great! No phones, no traffic; just peace and quiet! It's a slower pace and very relaxing. Make sure you rent a canoe or raft for a 3 or 6 hour trip on the river, and don't miss Shrine of the Pines. There are several antique shops nearby, and don't leave without a visit to Jones' Ice Cream Parlour in Baldwin. Our family has enjoyed staying at these cottages for many years!
