Welcome to Edgetts Lodge! We are located at the former site of historic Edgetts Michigan, which was a 19th century logging town that burned down over 90 years ago. Even though Edgetts was never rebuilt, the remains of the foundations can still be seen on the property. The Lodge is a magnificent 5100 sq. ft. hand hewn rustic log home, built from red pines taken right from the property. The Lodge sits high on the riverbank with a fantastic view overlooking the Pine River, which is one of Michigan's premier, blue-ribbon trout streams. The Pine River is both a designated "Michigan Natural River" and a "Federal Wild and Scenic River". It is also rated as one of the Mid-West's best for kayaking and canoeing. We provide 6 kayaks for your use, with additional kayaks and canoes available for local rental. The Lodge is surrounded by 38 pristine and private wooded acres, and we own both sides of the river for 1/8th mile. This incredible home has 3 and 1/2 baths, a first floor master suite with a private deck, an upstairs bedroom with a river view balcony, 2 other large upstairs bedrooms, and a fifth bedroom in the walkout basement. The 5 bedrooms will comfortably sleep 23 people, not counting additional couches, cots, and inflatable beds. There is also a large wrap around guest deck, and both of the decks, as well as the great-room, offer a beautiful 180 degree view of the winding river. The Lodge also has a spacious fully stocked gourmet kitchen, huge commercial gas grill, large loft/ TV area with satellite TV, DVD and VHS library, WI FI Internet, 2 beautiful fieldstone fireplaces, huge great room, ping pong table, video games, board games, and much more.

We have completed our second visit to the Lodge this year, and we look forward to returning again in the future. We are a large group of friends and the Lodge is perfect. It easily accomodates our six families. This year we came over the Christmas holidays and the Lodge was cozy and warm, the snowy views were beautiful and there was even a Christmas tree in the living room! Last year we came in the fall which was equally beautiful. Mark and Doug are very gracious and attentive hosts, checking in (Mark by phone, Doug dropping by) to make sure everything is as we expected and we have everything we need. It is a great vacation rental and we couldn't be happier with the service.

We looked forward to our second visit to Edgett's Lodge and the stay was as great the 2nd year as the first! The facility is well managed and maintained and we are appreciative that you share you beautiful property with folks you have never met! Having Doug available close by is a great convenience and adds to the up north experience with his local lore. Wonderful time spent by all, from snowshoeing the property, skiing, crafts, rock band and games, including minute to win it competitions. Thanks again, and plan on us returning again next year.

This is our second time at the lodge and both times have been awesome! I have taken roughly 20 teens each time for a mid winter ski trip from church. One teen loved it and then her family used it in Aug for summer trip and had an AWESOME TIME. It comfortbable fits everyone and is just beautiful. Mark is a wonderful host. He called both nights just to check in to see how we were doing and to make sure we were having fun. I highly recommend this place to anyone and will talk about it when other members on the church staff will listen. We are trying to come up with a retreat experience for the summer just so we can visit the lodge more than once a year. Also, we had fun with the Dogman legend and picture! It's an awesome place to just be. I encourage you to take a closer look.

Mark and his family:
We stayed at Edgetts Lodge in March and had an incredible great time. The views out the window were spectacular. It snow and the trees were covered in snow and winding river were so peaceful.
Finding and renting the lodge was so simple because our host helped out in every way. We were given directions, list on how to use most things in the house and places to go and see. Then when we arrived we were greeted with check in calls to make sure our stay was complete by both Mark and Doug. This helped us to feel really welcomed in Edgetts Lodge.
Our family had such a relaxing and enjoyable time at Edgetts Lodge that we plan on returning next year.
The photos only begin to display the beauty of this place. Once you are there you find it is beautiful beyond belief and the decorating is rustic and historical.
We would like to thank you again for sharing you lovely place. We had a great time.
