We stayed here for a weekend in early January for skiing. The SnoCone is less than five minutes from Nubs Nob and Boyne Highlands. It sits in a wooded lot with a view of Boyne Highlands in the distance. The wood burning stove keeps the place cozy warm. It comfortably sleeps and entertains eight adults, ten adults if two people do not mind eating at the breakfast bar. The upstairs loft has a queen size bed, single bed and bunks and its own half bath, a nice convenience for sleepers in the loft. The place is very quiet and has everything one needs for cooking, plenty of blankets and pillows and comfortable beds. It has bathrooms and sleeping on every floor (half bath in the loft, one full bath on main floor and a master bedroom, one full bath on bottom floor and two bedrooms, one with a queen bed, one with two twins. A big plus- plenty of parking in the circular drive. This is a great spot if one wants to be close to everything and yet have privacy. In the summer, the big front deck would be great for grilling and "chilling". A perfect spot to get together with other couples or another family and still have "private" sleeping space and bathroom facilities. The place is very clean and nicely decorated making it feel comfortable and "cozy". We highly recommend it and plan to be back again next year!

Every winter we go north to get some Boyne Highlands and Nubs Nob skiing in. And every year we talk about what rental / resort / hotel we are going to stay at. And every year all we want to do is stay at the SnoCone. From the beautiful full-view of the Highlands, to the the funny cartoon reading in the bathroom. From the wood-burning stove, to the built-in washer-and-dryer. From the huge deck, to the nearby cross-country skiing. From ... I've noticed that we refer to the place as our own - sure feels that way!

Location, location, location – nestled right between Boyne Highlands and Nubs Nob in beautiful northern Michigan! Our family has been vacationing both summer and winter at this welcoming and comfortable chalet for a number of years. Tons of space, three floors, great for multiple families! Great deck with fantastic view’s of Boyne Highlands. Minutes from the quaint town of Petoskey for shopping and great restaurants.

I look foward to this chalet visit yearly. The multi-level floor plan, private space when you need to get away, all the amenities including dishwasher and washer and dryer make the stay comfortable. GREAT location, no matter what the weather. The porch is the perfect place for a sunrise or sunset. Warm, comfortable space makes one feel as it is a part of your own family history.
