Providing the perfect accommodations for groups of four to ten, owners and innkeepers Charlotte and Steve Salisbury invite you to enjoy wine country.  Whether for a weekend or a week, you'll take a step back in time while enjoying modern comforts of this beautifully restored century old farm house.

Leave behind the bustling city noises and unwind with the quiet country sounds of the crickets and birds. Surrounded by vineyards and wineries, Worthenbury Country House boasts three beautifully appointed, country styled guest rooms. While staying at Worthenbury, you will be comfortable, relaxed and spoiled. The onsite hot tub pampers guests and a personal chef is available to take that pampering to the next level! Reservations are required for the services of Chef Laura Valetini at an extra fee. 

Worthenbury is a completely restored and updated farmhouse that dates to the early 20th century. Secluded in the center of Michigan's wine country, and directly on the Southwest Michigan Wine Trail, Worthenbury is adjacent to The Round Barn Winery. The perfect location for the Wine Trail Tours, Worthenbury also serves as the ideal resting spot for bicyclists who often visit the area, especially the Apple Cider Century Tour in the fall. Can you think of a better way to take care of aching muscles than with a dip in the hot tub and a soft bed to lay an exhausted, weary body?

Charlotte’s homemade snicker doodles paired with a local sparkling juice greet visitors upon their arrival. Steve explains, "We are passionate about making Worthenbury charming and comfortable for families or couples who do not usually have occasion to enjoy country living. Our guests are a gift and we welcome them as family.” Worthenbury is convenient to several of the area's well-known wineries, fruit farms, antique, and specialty gift shops. A mere ten minute drive west to the gorgeous beaches of Lake Michigan such as Weko Beach and Warren Dunes, guests have the opportunity to lounge in the sand, surf and sun and return home sun-kissed!

The property was originally part of a working farm, one of the first settled in Baroda Township in 1838. From the 1950's through the 1980's, the farm drew a large clientele in search of U-pick cherries, peaches and grapes while enjoying a day in the country. Among the first farms to grow French-hybrid grapes, Worthenbury has been in the Salisbury family for more than 40 years.

Worthenbury is everything you read on this site and more. The owners took care of every detail to ensure we had a wonderful weekend. Not only is it private, but the furnishings are top quality. It was almost like staying in a five star hotel. Highly recommended for a quiet get away for a group of friends or family.
