Canal Cottage is 25 minutes from the I-75 Indian River Exit #310. Directions from Exit # 310: go east on M-68 about 8 miles to M-33, turn left & go north on M-33 about 8 miles to Mann Rd (white fire station on NE corner), turn right & go east 4 miles to a 4-way stop, continue straight another 2 miles (the road you are now on is F-05) and Canal Cottage is on your left.

MICHIGAN VACATION PROPERTY DESCRIPTION

Canal Cottage is located on the northwest corner of Black Lake, Cheboygan, Mi. Black Lake is one of Michigan's best fishing and recreational lakes. Canal Cottage is hard to describe - it is truly a special place - once you see it you'll know why. The cottage is uniquely located in a very natural and undeveloped setting. The cottage is on Black Lake, and is also on the north side of a private canal off the lake. In addtion there is an island 100 feet off the shoreline in front of Canal Cottage. All day long, and especially in the morning, you will be treated to a symphony of bird songs. Your neighbors at Canal Cottage are the swans on the island (this year 3 baby swans), loons and a couple families of ducks. Your other neighbors in the canal are the fish, frogs, and turtles. The cottage is located on the north side of the canal and the south side is all natural, and provides a picturesque view. It would be hard to find a more peaceful lake cottage in all of Northern Michigan. The abundance of natural wildlife at your doorstep provides a constantly changing but peaceful panorama. In addition to the natural beauty setting Canal Cottage offer both Cable TV and high-speed internet access so that you can stay in contact with the outside world while still getting away from it all.

are $250.00, from noon Friday until 3 p.m. Sunday

3 Night Weekend rentals:
are $350.00, from noon Thursday until 3 p.m. Sunday

Non Summer Season (October 1st - November 30th)

a wonderful place to kick-back at and relax very nice accommodations - has everything one could want & more the canoeing was great highlight was the good fishing and watching the bald eagle out on the island - he is so cool. i'm looking forward to coming back next year!
