Delightful 2 bedroom chalet nesseled on the hillside overlooking Mullett Lake on a one-mile private horseshoe road in the established Parrott's Pointe cottage development near Indian River, MI. Snuggle by the cozy fireplace in the large 16'x20' living room. A dining area, kitchen and bathroom complete the 1st floor, Sleep 6 in the two loft bedrooms on the second floor, each with a double bed and a single bed. Relax on the expansive wrap around deck, enjoy cocktails in the wooded side yard, grill on the Weber, dine at the picnic table, make smores in the firepit, or paddle Scott's Bay in a canoe. Close to most northern Michigan sights: 1/2 hour to Petosky, Harbor Springs, Gaylord, Mackinac City, & the Mackinac Island Ferry. Day trips to historic forts & Mackinac Island, Traverse City & Interlochen, Charlevoix & Bay Harbor, Whitefish Bay & Tequanemon Falls, Cedarville & Drummond Island.

Northern Michigan's Inland Waterway is a unique adventure sure to please any boating enthusiast. Whether you're looking for a leisurely excursion filled with wildlife and scenic beauty, or a more active journey with water skiing, tubing, and swimming, the Inland Waterway is just right for you. Along the 38 mile route, you'll find an abundance of fish and wildlife. Over seventeen species of fish inhabit the waterway from trout to pike, bass, perch and walleye. Deer, raccoon, swans and bald eagles also call the waterway home. There is shopping and dining within walking distance of the rivers. There are several full service marinas and a few lodging accommodations along the way. Camping is also available along the route whether in private campgrounds or in Aloha State Park on Mullett Lake or Burt Lake State Part in Indian River. The waterway begins at the mouth of Lake Huron. A working lock raises/lowers you boat 20' to the level of the Cheboygan River then winds its way into Mullett Lake. From there the water flows into the Indian River, into Burt Lake, and continues through Crooked River where another working lock in Alanson raises/lowers you to the next level before coming to an end Crooked and Pickeral Lakes. Boats can be moored or rented 1 mile away at The Landings Marina.

Summer Season Nightly and weekend reservations are not available more than 10 days prior to rental.

$150 security deposit is required with the signed Vacation Rental Agreement to confirm reservation; the fee balance must be received no fewer than 10 days prior to occupancy. Theft or damage will be deducted from the security deposit; excess will be billed to the tenant. If cancellation of the reservation is necessary, the deposit is refundable, only if the property is re-rented for the same dates of your reservation.

We're the first people to try the new well! Great improvment to the cottage; wonderful water pressure. Had a great week! Put our boat at The Landings, right on the Indian River between Burt Lake and Mullet Lake on the Inland Waterway. Cruised all the way to Cheboygan: went to The Boat House for dinner and took in a movie. Another day we headed to Burt Lake and tied up to the dock for Hoppie's Restaurant for lunch. The old log cabin at the mouth of the Cheboygan River at the north end of Mullet Lake, The Hackmatac, also has a dock where you can tie up and have dinner. The shallows at the mouth of the Cheboygan River are a great place to drop anchor and swim; also found another shallows and beach across from Parrott's Pointe on the west side of the lake, south of Topinabee. The Breakers' Restaurant in Topinabee also has a dock to tie up. We ate and boated our way across the north! How fun!!

Rented for the entire summer. The kids loved it, so did we. Great location, close to everything, quiet neighborhood, quaint, delightful, not glitzy but everything we wanted.

We've been here three times. We love it. In early spring the weather was cold and rainy. When we went back in July, the visit was complimentary because they felt bad about our experience. Honest, fair, nice owners.
